Biography
About the candidate....
A brief history and resume all combined.

April 08, 1973--
Born in Austell, Georgia to Parents James and Teresa
Mackey of Douglasville, GA.  My folks still live in Douglasville today.

January 03, 1977--My brother, Philip, is born in Austell, GA.  He is my only
sibling and he still lives in Douglasville today, his Wife is Teresa and they
have two daughters Abagail (born 4/2005) and Sydney (born 9/2008).

May, 1988--Began my first job at Six Flags over Georgia.  Not a bad job for a
15 year old, spent the summer working in the Food and Beverage
department, my pay $3.80/ hr, but I could fill up my car with gas for about $11.

August, 1990--Began my second job, Radio Shack, a huge difference from
the food service world, and a year round job too.  I participated in the CBE
work program through my High School, so the job made a good fit.  Starting
pay was $5.50/ hr or commission of 7%, whichever was greater.

May, 1992--Graduated from Douglas County High School, Douglasville, GA.

September, 1994--Accepted a store manager position with Radio Shack and
relocated from Douglasville to Chattanooga.  I guess one could blame "The
Shack" for bringing me to Tennessee, but as it turned out it was one of the
best moves that I ever made.

December, 1995--Began my third job, MobileComm.  At the time,
MobileComm was a part of Bell South, it was sold about eight months later to
Mobile Media of New Jersey, and ended up filing for bankruptcy a few months
later.  MobileComm was a paging company (those "beepers" that were so
popular before Cellular Telephones made their way into mainstream society).
I venture to guess that the reason that bankruptcy came on so fast for this
company was the huge explosion in cell phone use in that short period of
time.  My position was outside sales.  In the height of this position, I made just
over $60k in 1996, which was great for a 23 year old.  I left when they closed
our location in 1997.  The company was absorbed by DialPage and later Arch
Paging.

April 1997--Life as a self employed person began... First as an independent
travel agent, where I was able to re-sell services under the guidance of a local
travel agency (who was a customer of mine from MobileComm).  Keeping my
nose in the technology arena, I also began selling and installing DirecTv DBS
satellite systems (Tennessee Travel and Communications was the business
name).  Later I dropped the travel agent idea to concentrate on the DirecTv
sales and incorporated the business (Volunteer Satellite Serv, LLC.) to reflect
the change.  Over the course of time, I also began changing the focus from
DBS residential satellite to commercial systems.

August 31, 1999--Relocated from Chattanooga to Dunlap, specifically Cagle
Mountain, where I presently live.

April 2002--Joined Dunlap United Methodist Church.

August 31, 2002--Married Melissa Skidmore of Hillsboro, Ohio.  We were
married by the Rev. Mark McKnight of Dunlap United Methodist Church.
Melissa's Parents are David Skidmore of Grayson, Kentucky, and Alberta
Duncan of Hillsboro, Ohio.

April 30, 2004--Passed my FAA check ride and was awarded a Private Pilot's
License.  I also bought my airplane at about the same time, which is based at
the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport (SRB) at present day.  I later went on
to earn a Commercial Pilots License as well as an instrument and Certified
Flight Instructor rating.

November 2005--Began CSO Contracting, LLC.  Departing from the DirecTv
world made this change necessary.  CSO Contracting, LLC is my present day
company.  Our primary focus has shifter somewhat over time from commercial
VSAT systems to an IT service company.  A lot of the systems that we install
have a satellite receiver component to them with a network backbone to
follow.  More information on our services can be found at
www.thatpilottech.com.   In the past five years,  we have taken contracts for
many industrial service and energy production companies, with a
concentration in the petroleum and wind energy fields.  2008 was the first
year that network services accounted for the majority of profits (over satellite
based services) thanks to a bank router and server replacement contract with
PNC Bank in the northeast USA.  In 2009, we landed our first international
contracts with one in Canada and another with Hess oil in Bata, Equatorial
Guinea (West Central Africa).

September 04, 2006--Our first son, Patrick Douglas Mackey is born at
Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

August 09, 2011--Our second son, Bradley Sullivan Mackey is born at
Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.
